Hello,

Currently I have only PGBK black ink in MG6150 and I am content to leave it that way since I will be printing only black & white. Since I will not attempt to print anything in color, can/will there be any damage to the print heads because color cartridges are completely empty?

Thank you.

Your printhead will be fried quicker than a Kentucky Fried Chicken if you let it run dry. Dunno if only the colour squirting nozzles will be affected or that the whole head is doomed. So my advice is to at least stick a couple of cheap compatible cartridges in the colour compartment of the head to keep the nozzles moist and safe.

If you're only printing in black and white I would sell the MG6150 and get yourself a mono laser... If you're printing photos in B&W only then you'll find it's highly likely your printer will be using the colours to do it...

As per Inkoholic... KFry time if you go without... besides I don't think it'll even let you print regardless.
