i have same issue in my ipf 5100
Did anyone find a solution to this problem? I have exactly the same issue with my Canon imagePROGRAF 6300S - but I can tell it happened after I was in the cleaning mode, and a stupid cleaner pulled out the 230Volt plug in the wall. After that, it comes with this error. I have changed the photosensor twice, and have checked the cabling all the way to the board. Voltage etc. is okay. It must be due to the interruption in the service it is providing and when power is turned off in the middle of that it hangs in the Firmware boot. Isn't there a way to reset the Firmware (E(E)PROM to factory standard? A lot of the models have the same issue. Does anyone have experience in using software tools to connect via USB and change data?
