I have an IP8500 photo printer. I had to replace the print head. The printer was idle for a few months until the new printer head was installed. All works fine now except when printing photos. When using the standard quality settng the images come out great with accurate colours. When i print a photo using the high quality setting the colours are all terrible, the blue turns purple and the face(skin) is reddish. I have tried lots of different paper and I get the same results. I have always used Canon ink. I ran a nozzle check and all 8 colours printed out fine.

One thing: are there any stripes or tiny lines disrupting the prints or not ? If the print quality is OK, but the colours are off, then you'll need a proper printer profile.
