Canon ip5200 problem - no ink on paper - not even nozzle check

The photo black can be improved by replacing your cartridge. Either your photo black ink is not good, or your refilling was not successful or your cartridge needs purging (especially if you use the top fill method)

Also, try cleaning the copper contacts on the printhead and the printer with a little alcohol and tissue.

Is printing color important to you right now ?

stratman: thanks for the response. The image is a good representation of the actual nozzle check print. As we thought, I need a new printhead. (I can only presume the logic board is OK.) Thanks again for the help determining the problem.

(panos: the problem is the printhead has completely failed, nothing is printing. The nozzle check image predates the complete failure.)

I have now stored the iP5200 until finances allow the purchase of a new printhead.
