hi! everyone
I have my Ciss Canon Ip4760, after using for almost a year, it appears the tank is full, And i reset is successfully.
After a month used. The printer has an error which is the resume button blinks 5 times.
I make the printer relax for a week. After a week past I turn the printer on then The printer has no error. And I used it for the whole day
The error happened again
I clean the print head with tissue
I wash with boiling water in order to wash out the sticky ink
Unfortunately, i'm not success.

What should I do?

I decide to buy a new one which is ip4870 .it is good.??
I need anyone suggestion..

I don't think "boiling" water would be a good idea, because the boiling water could be too hot for the plastic parts of the printer head.

No. Don't use alcohol to clean the print head.

Try to find your printer's service manual to figure out what the 5-time blinking means.

I had this problem recently with my i990. Nothing I do will work until i replaced the printhead. Good as new now. Check with your local canon service center for spare parts. my local CSC has printhead stock for a printer as old as my i990.
