Stupid me, I disassembled the carriage without noting the alignment positions of the carriage height gears on the right hand side of the printer.
Now when I try to print on a CD it is accompanied by the sound of the carriage head rubbing across the CD tray.
Does anyone have any information on how these gears are set - there is a little "dot" on one of the small gears, and a number of markings on the larger gear that is attached to the end of the carriage shaft.
