Canon I960 had cartridge dry out clean print head and installed new cart. Now when I power on green come up and then amber flashes 5 times does this over and over. Can someone tell me what might the problem be and what I might do?
Thanks

Unfortunately its game over for you, the print head is burned out due to the cartridge running out of ink.
I.E. 5 Amber lights = Electrical failure, you can get away with doing that on an Epson but never on a Canon printer sorry.

Its one of the reasons why we always recommend only using OEM cartridges and no others..

Agree with Hat, that service code indicates it's a printhead failure. You can try a replacement printhead (they appear on eBay), but some printhead failures also cascade and fail the logic board (motherboard) as well.
