@3dogs I am surprised at you, I’d reckon you should have more sense than to be hauling all of your gear up heart attack hill and then expect the wildlife not to disappear with all the moaning and howling that is coming from under the slowly moving pile of hardware.:gig

Wouldn’t it be far simpler to just get a Camel to do the hauling and then you would be in a much better mood when you get back to the good wife, and just maybe, just maybe she might let you buy the 7D ll that bit faster.. :love

Went out this afternoon, with the 7D II. Here is one example - I wonder if 3dogs has reached such heights.:)

Yes and especially when you’re trying to get some sleep in the morning, and he’s not that easy to shoot either with whatever equipment you have in your hand at that time.
A smashing shot @Emulator.. :thumbsup

Epson 3880. Canon Pro 9000,
I realised that I had not seen pictures of King's Canyon that 3dogs was referring to in relation to one of his near fatal expeditions. So I looked up King's Canyon in Google and found these.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=K...LeeKo76aurqgfgI&ved=0CFgQsAQ&biw=1716&bih=876

Well worth taking a look and I see what he means!

There is, I see, an American interloper also called by the same name.

Where did you climb @3dogs ?

Non of these pics show the climb. Looking out of the canyon it's around the corner to the right. Look carefully at the wide 'rim' pics and you will see TINY dots, that's a group of people, then looking out still get a view comparison of the lowest flat ground, that's the 'Outback' ....n ow imagine climbing from that height to the rim over a straight line distance of less than a quarter of a mile. It really does claim lives each year!
Looking into the canyon hidden is a turn to the left, a creek and a time capsule called the garden of Eden it's a step back Millions of years plant there are that old, preserved in a spot that has protected them from destruction due to the vast changes that sculpted the rest of the outback.
It's humbling to stand in there!
