I have three Canon inkjet printers that I just printed the EEPROM page counts for thanks to info from this site in how to do it.
Although there are many factors involved, I am wondering roughly how high they can go.

Here are my results ...

i550 - 3439 pages
i560 - 5466 pages
i4000 - 1649 pages

Anyone over 10000 pages and on an original printhead? Thanks! :)

My 6 years old i550 has only 17825 pages.

I converted the 17825 to hex number 4478 and found this number stored at the EEPROM address 00BC. It uses 2 bytes to store this value. The maximum number for two bytes is 65,535. After that it will count from zero again. By then, the print head will be RIP before getting to 65,535 pages since your i560 took 6 years to print 5466 pages.
