I'm sure the posts here will contribute in a small way to information AI bots trawl from the internet and regurgitate so eloquently. That doesn't stop me hiding (under a VPN for starters).

The less google (the biggest and worst collector and correlator of personal information) know about me the better. It looks like you post on dpreview with the same name - you are not even trying :).
I know the day the Russians, Chinese, Americans or whoever invade my country I could be arrested for insubordination :)
But not before the ones - who probably mean what they say - on Facebook, X and the like.

I suggest to download the last verson of X-Rite i1Profiler that still supports the i1Pro2/EF-2000 and that is version 3.8.5 too.

If anybody did the upgrade for the ColorMunki already: Is the device after the upgrade still working with older/original versions of the software or 3rd party software?

When it's only a kind of registration of the S/N all older soft should work, but if it's a new firmware so that the device identifies itself as a ColorChecker Studio older software might not work with it.

I understand that Calibrite is trying to generate revenue to fund their software development. And it's certainly not normal for a device that's been on the market since 2008 to still be supported. Therefore, the upgrade would be fine with me.
However, I don't see any real improvement in the software's functionality since the original version – except that the ColorPicker is gone :p
So IMHO it's still the same software with a different interface and a different name.
