Refilling Canon CLI-8 and BCI-6 OEM cartridges.....which ink?Image Specialists,Hobbicolors,Inktec,or other? And where to purchase?I've got Hobbicolors UW8,but wonder about long term stability(fading). If prints are under glass(or plexiglass) in a frame does it matter? Is one of the others a better choice? Thanks for advice

Image Specialists is a great ink too, comparable to Hobbicolors. Sadly the shipping costs are almost twice as much as with Hobbicolors. This is a turn off for me. If you are in Europe: try Inktec, available in the UK and Germany. The total cost is much less and also very good quality (the recommended ink in Druckerchannel.de) or KMP pigmented ink for the BCI-3eBk/PGI-5Bk large pigment black cartridge, which gives you the blackest and most durable printout on normal paper without fading or smudging and is almost completely waterproof. Inktec (CLI-8) is available for about 34 per liter per colour if you buy them in those large bulk bottles + shipping costs (about 12).

I'm in the USA and both Image Specialists and Hobbicolors (CLI-8 type) inks are available on Ebay at the same cost. The Hobbicolors is the one I have used and it is definitely more colorful(saturated) than the Abacus OA100 inks I used before. And I have suffered no clogging problems. The OA100 are said to be the same as G&G(but are BCI-6 type). Also, there is considerably less ink in the OA100 catridge than an OEM Canon refilled with Hobbicolors.
