Hi,

I own a new Pro 9000 Mark II and Canon PRO-100 on it's way.

I did own a used Mark II and had partial success with a CISS system and cartridge re-fills.

I like the forum users to let me know what is best re-fill method at this time for both mentioned printers to reduce the cost of the ink?

My goal is to generate professional 13 x 19 color print using 3rd party inks, if possible with about 80% quality success rate compared to OEM cartridges.

Has anyone tested and used successfully 1) CISS system, and 2) cartridge re-fills with what difficulties can be expected.

I like to have references with vendors you have had success with.

Sincerely, THANKS

For best results refill original OEM canon carts. Use quality ink like OCP, inktec if you are from Europe. Use image specialists ink if you are from US.

I stand against CISS as it does not work well in any canon printer.
You will also need to use custom made ICC profiles for you, and preferably RGB print certification for you prints so you know the expenses you pay for ICC profiles are worth it and that ICC profiles are actually working as expected.

If you wish to refill your OEM cartridges for your 9000 and 100 that are two good methods to use.

If you refill with I.S. inks then youll better than 80% quality when compared to OEM inks.

Using a CISS on any Canon printer can be very completed and a time consuming business,
they do work all right but they also need a lot of attention to keep them working.

The better option is to refill the OEM cartridges with I.S. inks for more overall control and the pure pleasure of enjoyment
and peace of mind you can get, its an art and hobby all in one.

If you learn to do it right then there are no regrets only pure joy of knowing youre saving a lot of your hard earned $$$.

Here is a list of how to refill using the top fill method, the German method and the Freedom fill method.

Here is the list of two US based ink vendors who can supply most inks for both your printers.

Whichever method you choose to use youll also need several other items that will help you refill successfully,
they too can be got on these websites.

Please stay away from compatible refill cartridges, they are only trouble waiting to happen.

Can I ask what happened to your Pro 9500 you never said ?

Thanks -- very useful info...

Which would you recommend for fill method to start with -- what are the pros and cons.

Ink vendors -- same here. Each must have pros and cons.

What accessories you recommend.

I am using the Mark II and have on order the PRO-100 (Could not pass today's deal of $ 89).

No alternatives yet on PRO-100 ink?

Thank you all.

What is I.S. Ink ??

Good luck, DIY.
