Hello, I do not know if anybody encounter the same problem with the PRO 9000.
I bought several sets of genuine Canon cartridges in Tokyo last week.
They are marked bci-7e and despite being written on their boxes that they are for the pro 9000, they are not recognized by my printer which was bought in the US.
Does anybody knows if there is a solution to this problem?
Thanks!

The problem is that Canon has regionalized their cartridges and the japanese Pro 9000 uses different cartridges. The only way to go is to exchange your chips from your old cartridges and put them on these BCI-7e carts and reset them using a CLI-8 resetter. Likewise the US CLI-221/PGI-220 carts will not work on a similar European printer using the same carts, but named CLI-521/PGI-520.

I am using a a few BCI-7 as CLI-8s and they all work fine for me so far. They reset fine as well in my resetter. Double check the color positions.
My printers are Canadian sourced though.
