BCI 3 and BCI 6 ink question

I was told buy an ink supplier that the cartridges BCI 3 uses the exact same ink as the BCI 6

Can any one verify that?

Also is the black ink in these carts Pigment based or dye based?

BCI-3 and BCI-6 use the same dye based inks. However, There is a BCI-3e Pigment Black ink aside from the dye based inks. The pigment based cartridge of course is different from the inks used by BCI-6 cartridges.
