Bang for Bucks AIO?

hi im looking for the best AIO (scanner, fax, printer) from canon with refilling inks. I have the iP4000 for printing but now i need something more over to scanner and fax side. Also i would like to know if we can use fax on one landline only or do we need a specific number.

I have a Canon MP830 for sheet feed scanning of multiple page reports. Have Hobbicolors ink for refills. Had it for a few weeks (replaced an HP7210) and so far am quite pleased.

I use a single phone line with distinctive ring (xtra service from your phone company) - it recognizes the distinctive ring and picks up on the second ring. The HP was set to pick up on first ring which is preferable.

I don't know if it is the "best" AIO but it satisfies my requirements.

MP780 if you can find one(uses no chips-same printhead as your ip4000).Faxes,scans,copies,prints.

No problems there - one line is enough for phone and fax. Just have to turn the fax signal on, when asked to do so.
