I have the same issue with my WF-5620. I cannot locate the timing strip ... do you have a picture or diagram showing where it is?

It is from another model Epson Workforce, but the second picture in this post shows the timing strip in the upper right corner. Other names for the timing strip is encoder strip and used by Epson, CR scale.
