my MP830 had 37,000 pages printer, was over 90% waste pad usage (D=.90), so i decided to take a shot at replacing the ink pads

i got the ADF off, still digging down

quick Q, any ideas how to disconnect MP830's speaker wire connector ? see pic

The connector just pulls apart (no locks to lift or depress). I believe from the photo that the yellow wires are in the male connector half and the grey wires are in the female. The housing of the female half has outside locking tabs for situations where the connector is mounted in a hole in a panel, but not used in this application.

got it off thx. yellow part was the male, just needed to tug it some.

the dig continues, D=90% so will be interesting to see what the pads look like. have a new set of pads ready to go

at 37,000 pages, not sure if this is worth the effort, will see. sorta fun, so far...
