My date for a party wanted to be "Red Riding Hood". I had two choices:
  1. Woodsman
  2. Wolf
A Woodsman in the SF Bay Area would have just looked like a Hipster. But I didn't want to wear a mast or makeup for a wolf.

I was going to just buy a costume, but decided to get creative.

First I designed some claws in Tinkercad. I hollowed out the ends so the tips of my fingers would fit inside:

I printed a few different sizes, cut some holes into old work gloves, and got this:

Next I printed wolf ears. At first I was going to attach them to a headband, but the first try looked like cat ears. So I took a hat / fedora and printed some ears, attached neodymium magnets, and had a perfect solution:

Then I decided to use "moldable plastic" to take imprints of my teeth, then attached 3D printed teeth to them:

After that, I wrapped the ears and gloves in faux fur from the fabric store:

Good choice to be the Party Wolf, it has much more street cred, and the use of the 3D printer to create the bits you needed was inspiring, I can see it now, 3D Wolf Prowls the Bay area...:hide
I always knew Rob could be a bit of an Auld Wolf..:ya

They are already prowling. Is Nifty playing pranks with his 3D printer? Zooming in to street level, the wolves seem to leave their presents around a lot of food and beverage businesses. Who's hungry?

Suddenly, Cleveland's old nickname of the armpit of the US does not seem so bad.
