I'm looking to buy something that can print large colour posters in good quality and speedily. I also want to be able to print on thick paper to make small edge-edge colour index cards. If I had to - I could just print 8 index cards on both sides of a large sheet of paper, and then just cut...
Hi guys,
I was wondering what the best printers would be to make something to the effect of a postcard machine - :D.
But first, whoever gets through this agonizingly long analysis just to help me, I thank you in advance. I really appreciate your time and knowledge.
I currently have the...
even better:
$49.99 with free shipping from Amazon
Price Grabber is a little buggy sometimes, its shows amazon selling it for 59.99 but they are actually selling it for 49.99 with free shipping.
I was originally going to get this printer (I opted for the Artisan 800 because I wanted the ADF...
The price goes down if you buy multiple stacks --> from what I've seen in terms of Canadian pricing, this is a good deal.
If you buy like 6 stacks or so, the shipping is about the same --> and it turns out to a little more than 5 cents per 4x6 page. Keep in mind that this is a quarter of what...
Yeah - I get that, otherwise you wouldn't be able to purchase the cheap refill kits in Staples or other stores, and this site wouldn't have existed for as long as it has. But it's not like these companies like the fact that people are using bulk ink either.
Printers don't concern me that much...

These guys are insane, they have so much legal backing for their products its ridiculous. I know Canon has like +25 000 patents, which allows for such an iron fist to occur.
This might not to relate you guys --> but the same thing is happening in the food industry with...
I'm a slight noob, so I'm not sure how well this works with different printers.
I would imagine that this paper would work fine with Canons as well as HPs, Epsons, and any other brand of printer. But I am not as experienced as some of the big guys here.
Is this paper good enough in terms of...
If you know anyone who lives in the states, there is a great deal on the canon site:
http://shop.usa.canon.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10051_10051_235931_-1
For $25 it comes with 400 sheets of PP-201 4x6 High gloss paper, 20 sheets of High gloss 5x7 paper, and 20 sheets of 8.5x11...
FIXED:
I found this issue, and its not the paper. In the paper tray, the EPSON manual tells you to squeeze in the gray tabs to the size of the paper. Leave a centimeter or so of space between the edge of the paper and the bottom grey tab. If you take out the tray and shake it up and down a bit...
Also, I want to mention that with the Artisan 800, there is a setting called "Automatic Head Maintenance" that is turned on by default on the printer. If you are printing something everyday then I think its safe to turn this off. It's basically a counter, and wastes a lot of ink that gets soaked...
Firstly, I want to mention that mikling and his company Precison Colors are really amazing. He did spend like 3-4 hours with me on the phone just explaining things that would've taken me weeks of research to understand. His inks are at an amazing price, and his knowledge level is outstanding...
lol - I got mixed up between this and the ip4700 cartridges - :P.
Does the stylus 1400 use the same ink as well - lol - I hope I don't get ironed out for this question.
I have a feeling that although the cartridge might be different, T099 vs T077 ink is the exact same.
Is this true? Can you fill up a T099 refillable cartridge made for the Artisan series with T077 ink made for the R260/R280/R380/RX580/RX595/RX680 printers?
other than ink spilling all over your desk --> does a saturated waste ink pad actually deteriorate the printer/printer head/build quality?
also , i heard its not too hard to get the waste ink pads out, clean them, and reinstall them.
also - I am using refillables from precision colors...
I asked around, and you have to grind off a piece of the plastic on the inside or you have to fiddle with the sensor. The sensor is delicate and small, and if I lost it/broke it the printer would be useless.
Also the grinding might seriously void my warranty.
Does a CISS take care of the...
I just bought an Artisan 800 from bestbuy.ca with a 4 year placement plan for good measure.
I print both photo-like documents (mostly flyers for marketing and advertising) and text documents for lecture notes.
I've noticed that the 800 pulls about 2-3 papers instead of 1 page about 5 times for...
I just bought an Artisan 800 for 100 bucks at bestbuy canada --> great deal!
I'm a student working with a nonprofit Orphan Sponsorship Program at my university and we print a lot of stuff. There are a lot of 8.5x11 full colour documents to print out, and I was wondering how much my ink costs...
What's a shim, I just bought an 800 as well, and I really don't want to do any grinding like you have to do if you want the piano book style CISS that is shown on the youtube videos by leonardjohn.
