A scan of the nozzle check printout shows artefacts that actually don`t exist...I`m scanning with an Canon 5150. But the actual nozzle check looks o.k., the printer is brand new and printing on normal and photopaper matt is perfect, pixellation only occurs with whis textured "canvas" paper
The nozzle check is fine and the green tone is just a peculiarity of the scanner. My main issue here is still the pixellation when I use this new "canvas paper" as it's sold. What effect should canvas printing have?
The paper I bought cheap as part of a kit, it's sold as cotton but it doesn`t stretch so I take it that it's just textiled paper, weight is around 240. I need to know if using this paper can actually damage the printer. On printer settings "high resolution" instead of just matte the pixelation...
Hi should printing on linen paper give an "aged effect"? This is what I expected but what prints just looks "pixelated". Is this normal? I tried printing on both rougher and smoother sides of paper, same effect. Tried out on Canon IP7250 with original inks. I'm shooting in the dark here, just...
The printhead has not been installed/reinstalled 13 times in this printer. This is not the original printhead, I bougt it used from an ebay-dealer, at that stage the printhead had another problem not related to the current dilemma. Are EEPROM readings related only to statistics taken from the...
Trying to improve scan is a real pain. EEPROM readings are in Attach, thanks for the info about the absorber. I' ve already given the printhead a thorough cleaning/overnight soak
Cayen and magenta stripes in the MG5150 are both the same strength, the magenta is much stronger than in the IP4600. Currently looking at prices for a new printhead. On installing, do I need to do any sort of alignment test?
It’s not very clear from scanner but included is IP4600 test print in...
There's absolutely no question of the ink being at fault here.....it's a quality ink from "Südhaus", I've been using it for years, also in my other printer Canon MG5150 and it prints a perfect red. By the way, I've installed the IP4600 on my other computer and it shows exactly the same...
OMG! I'm gonna have to work my way up to this. How do I get out of this mode and back into normal printer modus.....or does it return automatically? Speculating.....if the test print is ok and the printhead checks out, where else can the problem be?
Sorry I may have caused some confusion here....all tests are from new carts, and an overnight soaking it's already got. I have no idea how to do extended nozzle test.
I have a Canon IP4600 which prints orange instead of red. I’d been using original Canon carts., refilled many times with a known good-quality ink from “Sudhaus”. I know that the ink isn’t the problem so I switched carts. over to a complete set from “Octopus”. I tried tweaking settings, I printed...
Obliged. I asked the question, because, from Canon*s own site.....

Is it true that paper heavier than105 gm2 can cause problems with a canon inkjet ip4600 printer? I need to print business cards, heavier paper looks better or? And what about photographic paper.....is heavier not better quality? Also I'd been thinking about...
