If you want to wait 3 weeks for your order, order from Inkgrabber!

Hi fotofreek, These were the cartridges that are [I hope] compatable with the chipped carts. We were able to remove the chips from the OEM carts easily...they provide [Inkgrabber] instructions. As of this moment I don't know about quality because my Grandaughter just received the last cart...

If you want to wait 3 weeks for your order, order from Inkgrabber!

I have ordered ink and ink cartridges many times in the past from various other vendors and ususally have the order in less than 5 days. This time I was ordering cartdridges for my Grandaughter's printer [Canon Pixma 5200] so the only place i knew to order them was Ingrabber [these were were...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Well, I have printed about 12 sheets with the Red River satin paper and so far everything is great. Now I don't know what to do about the reburnished printer that Canon is sending..probably will get it tomorrow. I still can't get this one to print on the heavier matte paper. Any opinions would...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Thanks Reg, I had previously turned the paper over and still had a problem. I just now tried red River Klondike that is a 66lb Satin and it is printing. Of course it may not the next time. Right now I have the setting back to normal...just strange.

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Regs, yes the paper bounces when it tries to feed, then the power light flashes green and orange. I tried it nearly full of plain paper and one sheet of photo paper on top and it still would not feed. When I reversed the procedure it did feed the plain paper. This is still with it in the mode...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Regs, I reverted it back and now the paper will not feed. There must be something wrong with this printer. The bad thing is, it has been used so little. The first prints that I made [when it fed the paper] were really nice too.

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Hi, thanks to all of you. That worked and the paper fed through just fine. I did get a message that the print quality might suffer. These are scrapbook pages and the first one was a Christmas one...the holly is a much brighter green than it should be. The flesh tones are good though. Could...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Thanks for the replies...Reg, this is strange...I went to maintenance>custom settings and it shows "prevent paper abrasion" and "align heads manually", but they are grayed out and won't let me select them. This must be where the problem lies....but I don't know what to do now.

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Websnail, yes they absolutely told me that this printer would not print on anything heavier than 28lb and that if I use other brands of paper and damage the printer, it would void the warranty. Of course I laughed and added how long I used my Epson with any brand of paper. Reg, I 's sorry, I...

Problem printing on heavy paper with Canon Pixma

Thanks for all the replies. I was leaving for the day when I posted this message this morning and forgot to say this is a Canon pixma 5000. I got it last summer and have used it very little for color [maybe 15 sheets]. I do print a few pages of text daily. I have not had a problem with any...

Does anyone here have a Canon Pixma printer and if so can you print on heavy card stock paper. Mine is still under warranty and it will not feed photo paper or card stock. Thanks for any help you might have.
