Thanks. I do not intend to print photos but just colour pages etc. from internet. I was not sure about using the pigment black ink which I have as I am not sure if the 3500 black is pigment or not. Also was not sure about the printhead getting blocked. I may be wrong but guess the Canon inks...

I am talking about using the refill Ink and NOT the cartridges.

I have refill ink bottles left from my last Canon S520 printer which is broken. The cartridges were the BCI-3 type ones. The black ink is pigment type. Can I use these inks for my Canon ip3500 ones or is it likely to cause problems? thanks

Thanks Steve Managed to order an IP3500 (refurbished one from Canon Outlet) today. Any advice on refilling these or on the chipping tool please?

The problem in UK is that it is almost impossible to find the 3500 or the 4500 now.

I am planning to buy this printer shortly. Is it easy to refill please and do you need a chip resetter for it?

I use a Canon S520 which I have sucessfully refilled many times. This is now on it's last legs and need to replace it with a printer only (not multi function) and if possible would prefer a Canon unless someone says otherwise. Any recomendations please?
