    Canon Printing onto Envelopes

Dan, cheers for the help. I can't find the "prevent paper abrasion" setting anywhere though, perhaps it's not in the Mac driver? Anyway, I HAVE sorted the issue! I changed the large black ink tank yesterday as it just ran out, and did another couple of cleans after that, and all seems well...

    Canon Printing onto Envelopes

Thanks for the suggestions. I've just done the folded paper thing on the "Bottom Plate Cleaning" 3 times, but on "cleaning" and "deep cleaning" it doesn't use any paper, so I can't fold it in half and feed it through, is that what you meant? Also, what gsm would you class as thick parchment...

Hi, I've already done that 3 times unfortunately, as well as many cleans/deep cleans/aligns and everything else possible :-) Thanks.

    Removing/replacing toner in colour laser

I use a HP printer (Color LaserJet 2605DN), and I've not noticed a removable cover on the toners? Just the orange tab/ribbon strip thing that you have to remove before use (and then discard)...maybe the cover is part of the actual cartridge and is not removable?

    Removing/replacing toner in colour laser

Hi, just the actual toner (cartridge), I don't use refills. What exactly is the "cover"? Thanks.

    Printing onto card

Trigger, thanks for the reply:- 1. Official canon cartridges. 2. No, I always buy new (official) cartridges. 3. (I use a Mac) I've never had a problem with colour management/accuracy on my inkjet, it's very close to both the colour of my calibrated monitor, and the "actual" printed colour when...

    Printing onto card

Thanks for the help everyone, and the extensive replies. The main problem I've found, is finding some (decent) 280-300gsm "inkjet" card. I know that people are successfully printing onto this weight of card with great results, with my printer (IP4200) specifically, but I've not had any luck...

    Printing onto card

Thanks for the replies. Basically, I've gone through every single setting in the printer driver, and the best one by far is indeed plan paper. It's 90% there for plain black text (although slightly "soft" and not 100% sharp, but acceptable), but if I was to put a black solid and reverse some...

    Removing/replacing toner in colour laser

Just a quick one - we were sent some replacement toners for our HP 2605DN colour laser, hoping the new toners would fix some print quality issues we've been having. But, the new toners haven't improved anything, so I'm now stuck with the old toners which were still 96% full. Can I store these...

    Printing onto card

Thanks for the reply. I've already tried that, unfortunately, reducing it the full -50, and varying levels in between, and I still can't get a "normal", sharp image on the card.

    Printing onto card

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to print onto some different weights of card on my Canon Pixma IP4200 (250gsm, 280 and 300, varying matte/glossy/ivory), and I'm not having much luck. I've gone through all the media/quality settings, trying text only, images, graphics, in...
