I used a ruler to draw a line on the far edge of each side of an A4 piece of paper and scanned it.
This is what it was produced:
I think you're right. It appears the scan head isn't quite right.
Not only has it missed three of the edges, the one it captured isn't straight.
I'll contact...
I'm having a scan issue with our new Brother DCP-1612W not scanning entire scan bed.
It is cutting off roughly 3-4mm off the top.
I am pushing the photograph up to the top edge of the scanner:
This is how the top of the photograph scans:
This is what it's missing:
These are the scan...
I am looking for a Wi-Fi-capable laser printer for up to £150.
I have trawled Ebuyer, Scan, Box, Argos, Currys, Printerland, Viking Direct and Amazon UK and these are the models I have found:
Does anyone have any thoughts / suggestions?
We cleaned the translucent strip with a cotton bud + window cleaner and the strip/bud it was absolutely spotless.
Same issues are occuring, unfortunately.
In my last post, I ran Head Cleaning via. the printer itself, and via WIC Reset Utility's 'Head cleaning' option.
I then ran a Nozzle Check and that's what you see in my post above. It's worse than it's ever been.
I just re-ran Head Cleaning via. the printer and re-did a Nozzle Check but it's...
I cleaned anything I could inside the printer but it all looked fine. I couldn't identify anything that looks like that strip in your Canon photo, unfortunately.
I have bought four new cartridges and replaced all four (each color was at 1%, black was at 5%) and did a black text test print...
Here is the Nozzle Check:
It's used one or twice to print per month.
They're remanufactured cartridges but it's only been the past month or two that this issue has occured.
I tried Quality as High and disabled Quiet Mode but the print out, whilst taking a little longer (due to the quality)...
We bought the printer new from Amazon UK in March 2020 [link to user guide].
We've ran monthly test page prints, to keep it functioning.
In the past two months, we've been getting very blurry prints (please see attached scanned image of print).
On the printer itself, I have tried Nozzle...
Our HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer (E710n) (2010) has finally died.
We are only wanting to scan basic documents and photographs a few times per year, so just need something decent, cheap and cheerful.
As of now, the cheapest dedicated scanners in the UK are the:
Canon CanoScan...
I have printed two different post-clean test pages and placed them side-by-side.
It appears the issue is not occurring at the same locations.
This happens on various systems that send pages to print, so it's not software related.
I now believe the printer has developed an actual fault.
I followed the following video guide to the book but unfortunately, there's no improvement.
Manually Cleaning the Printhead on the HP Officejet 6500 Printer
We purchased a new HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer (E710n) printer 5-6 years ago.
For a few years, the printer has had an issue printing using black ink.
We only use standard A4 paper.
We've tried the Clean Printhead and Align Printhead Tools on the printer itself.
Any ideas?
Is it possible to scan without having ink installed with the Canon PIXMA MP510?
I do not have a black ink cartridge installed.
I do not wish I buy a black ink cartridge just to be able to scan.
Windows shows: "Printer maintenance is in progress. Scan after it is complete. Code : 2,114,0"
The...
I believe CLI-8Bk and PGI-5 are both black cartridges and will both work in my Canon MP510.
If that is the case, what is the difference between them and which should I go for?
Thank you :)
