Which is the best home inkjet printer?

My choice is an Epson Artisan model,( I have a 725) which I paid $99.00 for. It prints full color pictures up to 8 1/2 X 11. I then bought large bottles of ink and a one time purchase of refillable ink cartridges,(dampers) with a RATF chip bar, ( Refill All To Full). It's a 6 color printer and 6...

Which printer do I want to replace my recently deceased Epson 1400?

Just a hint. If you really like a printer and the deals are good, consider buying an extra one to keep around. I like the Epson 1400 and bought two some years back for $139.00 refurbished. I'm still using the first one and it works great even though we refer to it as "Our piece of junk". That is...

    Waste Ink Tank pads.

Just wondering, has anyone ignored the first "Ink pads full" warning without ink spillover happening? I have never hear of this happening the first time before. I would be concerned if it was say, the third time. I have read of some people that claim to have ignored that notice 3 or 4 times...

How does Kirkland glossy compare to Canon Plus Glossy II.

I use only Kirkland professional glossy inkjet photo paper with my Epson 1400 using Claria ( Type) dye based ink and I have on occasion demonstrated the color fastness of this combo ink/paper for friends by printing a full color page of a photograph and within a few minutes putting that print...

Epson Still The Way To Go For CIS?

I just happen to like the inkjetcarts system but I hear that other companies sell much the same equipment. My personal preference is due to the good experiences I have had and in no way is prejudicial or against any other company. As I said several companies sell much the same equipment so all...

    Epson waste inks... error...

Couple of things I watch out for. The first is the new firmware Epson may load, I'm not real sure I want that to happen as they tend to "adjust" the equipment to their arrangement protocol! One other thing I have read and I'm not sure if it's valid but I have read that Epson and other companies...

Epson Still The Way To Go For CIS?

I'm not sure at what level your printer is. I have used an Epson 1400 refurbished printer for around three years now with both CIS and the flip top damper chip set arrangement. I'm very happy with the full color prints we get and this printer prints all the way up to 13x19 inch prints. I also...

What are your favorite refillable cartridges?

I'm surprised to hear that you had so much trouble with Flip Top dampers with chip bars. I have had nothing but excellent experiences using them. I wonder what the difference is? I print with Epson printers.

    Epson 1400 or R280 CISS for 1000 pages/month

We have both an Epson 1400 and an Epson Artisan 725 model. Both use Claria ( Type),( not OEM) inks. Both produce really nice full color photographic prints. I paid $99.00 for the Artisan and that was brand new. As of today, July 2nd 2012 I see they are still selling the White version for that...

Any ideas on a flatbed or other multi-function that is easy to refill?

Most any Epson Artisan and they are being sold for about a hundred at the moment. Most have the scanner/fax and all you asked for built in and a refillable damper set with RATF chips will set you back about $39.00 plus shipping from inkjetcarts with 120 mil inks going for $5.50 a bottle. Other...

Propylene Glycol - Just received 1 Quart shipped from Amazon

After reading some other sites on this I see your correct, however if anyone is going to drink the stuff please fell free to have my share! Truth is it's hard to know exactly what is safe and what is not and from what I have read, and again , I realize there is a lot of misinformation out there...

EPSON Artisan 835 CISS and Bulk INK

Shouldn't be a mystery. I used a CIS System for years with an Epson and simply set the bottles on the table next to the printer and it worked well for years. If I had noted ink moving from the bottles through the heads or the other way and it was a problem I'd simply have raised or lowered the...

Propylene Glycol - Just received 1 Quart shipped from Amazon

I thought I'd research this a bit and I want to share this information for the safety of my fellow members. I just read this...{.Propylene Glycol (PG, Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), and Ethylene Glycol (EG) are all petroleum derivatives that act as solvents, surfactants, and wetting agents. They...

Propylene Glycol - Just received 1 Quart shipped from Amazon

I once killed a cat I loved by leaving a bucket of drained antifreeze open in my garage. I was told later that it tastes sweet and is very poisonous. It attacks the kidneys! I did read above that this is not the same exact chemical that was ordered from Amazon but please be careful with it anyway!

EPSON Artisan 835 CISS and Bulk INK

I don't want to disrespect any company and I want to say right now that there are many excellent sources that have been mentioned in this venue. To answer your direct request however I will just say that I personally have used both CISS and damper/chip bar kits and the inks from Inkjetcarts for...

    How old is old ink?

Don't overlook the paper you use, it's at least as important as the ink and mating the ink to the correct paper is important.
