I just recently got a new printer, a Canon Pixma iP3600, and while learning it's wills and won'ts, it's dos and don'ts and all it's little idiosyncrasies one has to learn at this time, I just wanted to see what everyone thought about my habit of leaving the printer powered up all the time even though I routinely turn the attached computer off every night. Does it cause any harm to the printer?
All answers and ideas would be most appreciated.:)

I keep my iP4500 on all the time. No issues, that I can tell, because of it.

Hey! If it works ..that's all the counts. I turn mine off every night and also no problems.

What you don't want to do is leave it off for an extended period of time. I leave mine on all the time.

Thanks to all! I will continue to leave it on. As OutOftheinkwell said "Hey! If it works ..that's all the counts."
