    QY6-0076 Print Head

No yellow on the stamp test, but some black blobs and a tiny smudge of what could be cyan and magenta. Not a good sign. The black is printing the borders on the nozzle check print but not the lines under the 1 and 2.

Could this be a worthwhile purchase?

The lines are missing on my print test because of the printhead. Well, the seller didn’t respond to my request for a better lit snapshot of his print test. Boy, sure wish I could just buy a new printer that would oroduce colors that sing, as the i9900 does.

Could this be a worthwhile purchase?

Thank you for this, Although it’s the same country, it’s a ten hour drive. So.... hmmm. I asked the seller to take another photo of the test print in better light. There are no returns permitted. There is a one year protection plan offered that I would guess you have to buy at the time of...

Assuming it works, right? Thank you

Could this be a worthwhile purchase?

That was to the point, the Hat. I’m ok with letting it go if there’s no choice. For my work my goal is to get the pro 9000 colors to match the i9900 output. Maybe it’s more than the print head on the aging printer.

Could this be a worthwhile purchase?

As I posted earlier this week, looking for a work around the issues experienced with the print head on my Canon i9900. For now, I have been unable to match the output of the i9900 on the Pro9000. There is a used i9900 for sale. I asked the seller some questions. Posting the questions and...

Canon Printer Dialog Box inactive options

That’s what I thought you were referring to. Alas, as you‘ve seen from my other posts the scroll down for color options along with the color sliders are not active. I don’t know how to turn them on! Tried profile settings, Printer Manages Color, pretty much every permutation, except the correct...

    QY6-0076 Print Head

So glad for your replies! There are two different printers: the i9900 that is not printing row 2 on a test print and the Pro9000. The Pro9000 is working as it should. I was never able to get the same color results with those two different printers when both were functioning. Now that I may have...

    QY6-0076 Print Head

So many variables. Do you have suggestions for getting the desired colors on the Pro9000? I prefer not to start messing around with the colors in the files that were used on the i9900 to try to get them to sing on the Pro9000. Those little nuances are the difference between ok and great. We...

Canon Printer Dialog Box inactive options

Thank you for your reply! Scrolling up or down on the Color Matching box brings up the other options within that window, it doesn't change availability of Colorsync or Canon Color Matching. Would you please clarify your suggestion to use Printer Preferences to get the colors to match those of...

    QY6-0076 Print Head

Thank you for clarifying that there is a link. I'm posting a snapshot for admin, where I'm sitting "this very long thread" is black rather than grey. Now to delve into reading about this, then I will surely have more questions. With much appreciation.

Canon Printer Dialog Box inactive options

Thank you so much for your reply. This issue has come up now, as my trusty Canon i9900 is not printing row II colors on the test print. The Pro 9000 is good for certain colors, not good at all for others. I was advised that I can get the sought after results by working with the printer...

Canon Printer Dialog Box inactive options

In the Canon print dialog box neither the Color Matching and the Color Options scroll down windows are inactive. I've reinstalled the driver and tried just about everything that I can think of. Probably not getting full use of the printer when unable to use these options. Can you help to...

    QY6-0076 Print Head

Thank you again. Would this premise apply to the entire row 2 blank on the test print? It started with just the yellow. We noticed many posts referencing the yellow ink not printing. Then after very careful cleaning, iall of the colors in row 2 were no longer displaying. I have always used OEM...

    QY6-0076 Print Head

So glad to hear back from you, thank you. I wasn’t asking, at least I didn’t intend to, for any of your stash. I didn’t know a thing about printer heads until a few days ago when the yellow ink was not showing up in a test print. Now that the printer head has been cleaned very gently in 1/4" of...

    Beloved i9900

i am so grateful for your input and support! Since I never set to high gloss photo paper, that would mean that the red and green cartridges are never used? Setting that aside, would you specify where am I finding the printer preferences to try to achieve the results I’m looking for? I‘ve been...

    QY6-0076 Print Head

Hello Have you had success with any printhead that you've purchased recently for your i9900? I have an i9900 that I rely on for producing colors that sing. The pro 9000s are good but cannot come through for some of the i9900 magic. Did you ever try the printhead that you refer to in your post...

    Beloved i9900

Thank you for your reply. I have three lines of questions - A.1. How do you know it's an electrical issue vs a printhead issue? A.2. If electrical and not caused by a faulty printhead, why is row 1 still printing? Maybe that side of the printhead is where the issue is? Have you ever heard of...

    Beloved i9900

Thank you for your reply! I think that I was able to delete one of the two other posts. The second one has no delete option. I hope that I've posted this in the correct place. I recall purchasing the Pro-100 maybe two years ago, just to be prepared. There was at one point an issue with...
