Thanks again for trying to help me resolve this persistant problem. To your points above. 1. Printhead moves freely no problem. 2. Definitely no debris in the way. The capping station is new now as I replaced it when I was having trouble getting the printer to draw any ink and i determined...

"Flashing ink and paper button simultaneously during self check"

Sadly this problem has come back again and my printer in not functioning at all. Using the Wic reset software I was able to find the error 50H which is "cannot seek cr home position" this would makes sense as the error code occurs about 5 seconds into the self check when I turn on the printer...

Free Epson 4900 and 2200 on CL. Is it worth my time?

So I've learned a lot about repairing inkjet printers in the past few months and saw this ad on Craigslist. Was thinking of making the hour drive to pick them up. Any thoughts? http://honolulu.craigslist.org/mau/sys/5185803328.html

    Ink not flowing in ciss???

First off, my mistake it is Epson R290. So I think the problem lies in the capping station and I have ordered a replacement. I noticed that the foam pad that sits under the metal piece on the cap is missing. Honestly, in my ignorance as I was learning to operate this machine, I neglected to...

Feedback Needed - 3D Printers - Any Interest?

The technology is interesting but like aquaponics, I find it more of a novelty than anything else. I also don't like the look of 3d printed objects

    Ink not flowing in ciss???

Well I checked the rubber seals around the capping station and blade that cleans the print head, cleaned them really good but still no ink flowing when the pump is running. I also raised the ink bottles 6 inches but still nada. I ran three or 4 more power cleans to test and did see a little ink...

    Ink not flowing in ciss???

Yeah now I think we're getting somewhere. when I get home I'll check the capping station carefully for the seal that you spoke about. It could be the ink level but I have a feeling it's related to the capping station as you suggested.

    Ink not flowing in ciss???

I don't think it has to do with the nozzles firing because I can see the ink is not going into the waste ink resivoir when I run a power clean so no ink is being pumped even though the pump seems to be working. It also does not have to do with the viscosity of the ink as I have been using the...

    Ink not flowing in ciss???

Thanks for your response I know the printer head isn't clogged because I removed the dampers and manually cleaned the printer head with fluid all the nozzles are clear. The printer uses an Epson r90 printer head. I hear the pump come on during the power clean and I can see air bubbles coming out...

"Flashing ink and paper button simultaneously during self check"

Thanks for the ideas. Definitely a possibility. The inkpad counter on the reset software definitely shows that it has been reset however maybe the printer for some reason is not recognizing this as you mention. I'll work on it a bit. Appreciate the input!

"Flashing ink and paper button simultaneously during self check"

    Aloha From Hawaii

I'm new to inkjet printing. Well, I have 6 frustrating months experience actually. It's amazing what you can learn when you buy a printer from China with no tech support and new problems to deal with on a daily basis. Anyway, I'm hoping to connect with other victims, I mean owners of the same...
