    iP4200 BK disappeared

...of the fluid ink can melt away any clogging. Go back and read my post on this. Not so surprising if the ink loss was due to ink starvation from either an "empty" cartridge or, despite sufficient quantity in the cartridge, ink that poorly transits through the cartridge's sponge for one...

    iP4200 BK disappeared

I would try a good soak of the printhead. I would even gently pressure flush the PGBK paths. If the nozzle check is OK (and it seems it is), and a known good cart is used, there must be starvation of flow to the PGBK nozzles somewhere. That could be in the internal passageways between the...

    iP4200 BK disappeared

The text document shows the funnel shaped loss of ink that typically means ink starvation. The narrow end of the ink loss becomes wider as the print heads traverses across the page. If you count the lines you will see a pattern indicating the direction of print head travel in the horizontal...

...of the nozzles, so, chances are you may get all the nozzles flowing again over time and use. The Magenta issues seem to at least be ink starvation (nozzle check #7 has much of the light Magenta but nozzle check #9 has little). A new Magenta cartridge, or a good flush and refill, should...

    Canon mx432 printing issues

...failure in the assay logic board, can cause similar loss of ink. Most likely yours is 1 or more of the following: clogged nozzles, burned out irreparable nozzles, ink starvation due to poor ink flow through the cartridge (sponge). Try new or known working cartridges. Let us know how it goes.

    Single colour streaking

The prints show a typical pattern of the magenta nozzles failing, not the typical wedge shaped pattern of ink starvation. The MG3570 is a two cartridge printer so to correct the error you need a new tri-colour cartridge. I think the magenta nozzles cannot be cleaned to correct the error as they...

    Epson 9600 problematic channel

...to give best results. Yesterday it recovered to 100%, but then disappeared again during the next print. This seems like possibly an ink starvation issue, but it's hard to say. In the field repair guide (pg 15) they suggest also checking the 'Ink Valve' (which I assume is what is referred to...

Auto Reset Cartridges for PIXMA MG7740 TS8040 TS9040

...I think no aftermarket cartridges are the same high build quality as Canon OEM cartridges, so it is recommended to monitor the print quality closely and stop and correct the error at the first sign of printer malfunction. Leakage and ink starvation are typical errors with aftermarket cartridges.

    Printing SUPER fast!

...flexible steel cables to drive the pen, and we could get speeds around 300mm/sec. The other problem you will have is what we called "ink starvation". That is, to maintain that speed, you have to feed the extruder really fast to deliver the filament fast enough to lay down filament properly...

Looking for Stripe Band for CANON MG5350

Hello Stratman, thank you for your reply. I tried out a complete printhead cleaning as I'm use to do it as you described in the previous post. Unfortunatly nothing happened at all but in a strange way my printhead was working pretty well before in my old printer wich got a problem with purge...

Looking for Stripe Band for CANON MG5350

...new cartridges, or flush/reset/refill the old cartridges to ensure properly functioning cartridges. The idea here is to not confuse ink starvation from poorly functioning cartridge with a problem in the print head. Remove as many confounding causes as possible to help narrow the culprit...

Magenta banding in Photo RPM after "warm-up"

Hello fellow printer addicts, I am experiencing a rather strange issue with my Epson PX720 (basically a miniature Epson 1430): when printing in Photo RPM mode, I get random magenta stripes in medium-gray areas. They are barely visible when I print right after switching the printer on, but...

Problem with Photo Cyan ink cartridge pulling through - Canon Pixma Pro 10s

While nozzle failure cannot be ruled out 100% yet, there is still an ink starvation problem ongoing. PC, Y, R, GY, CO, and MBK have all shown at least ink starvation. Some have improved and some have changed in demonstrated defect. Some appear within normal limits. Frankly, without a...

Problem with Photo Cyan ink cartridge pulling through - Canon Pixma Pro 10s

...OK sitting overnight, no need for cleaning instructions right now. You can clearly see in the PC, Y and GY the different pattern of ink starvation. Confirmation by inserting OEM carts. PS: I suppose you have the modified clip already, how else you could have rinsed the carts ? Apparently it...

Problem with Photo Cyan ink cartridge pulling through - Canon Pixma Pro 10s

If would seem the PC, yellow and grey are now starting to show signs of ink starvation once again, when refilling these carts are you shaking the refill bottles before you commence refilling of the carts, because something is not quite right yet.. You should now install carts that you know to...

Problem with Photo Cyan ink cartridge pulling through - Canon Pixma Pro 10s

When I flood the purge unit, the water with liquid just seems to sit on top of the pads. When I turn the canon printer off, it then looks as if it is draining the purge unit. Is it supposed to do it this way, or should it have drained already? Sorry about the many questions. I'm very new to this!

...performing purge unit will. You can’t leave the ink inlets without carts for long periods of time without them drying out and causing ink starvation problems for the nozzles, so we will have to address both issues together. The blank MBK I can understand because you’d left the cart out...
