[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

Finger crossed: succesfully read the optimized target (with the previous profiles as preconditioning):

I have to retry my Colormunki method again: the profile looks horrible and I think this is causing my problem. One moment....

Can you tell where the logfiles are stored in ChromeIQ ? I want to upload the files so you can have a look at what is going wrong and maybe I can see myself what is going on.

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

I am getting problems with working with a target that uses data from a preconditioning profile. For sake of ease I am using the standard guided workflow (don't limit strip length). The first step creating the initial profile is no problem. Now afterwards you get the ability to use this profile...

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

Despite having the argyllcms usb drivers installed, the software does not recognize my eye one Pro/i1Pro2 device: to be corrected: it should automatically load the argyllCMS drivers. Loading existing target, still cosmetic error page 1/2 and 2/2 (same), because it fits on a single sheet of A4...

Actually it is chartread that decides whether or not you want mono or bidirectional reading: You might remember the fact that I have made i1Pro targets BUT reading with my Colormunki: it will throw an error that the layout is made for i1pro, but you can perfectly read with the Colormunki and...

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

I have a rebranded i1Pro 1 rev A (HP spectrophotometer), that I found on the local second hand site, completely sealed and unused for a bargain price and best of all: it has that precious license for i1Profiler for printer profiling. Only the scanning jig was the first version without the...

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

You can perfectly do: targen -d2 -G -e4 -B4 -g32 -f560 Profile_Name and have 560 patches in total with 4 blacks, 4 whites and 32 grey steps included.

I just installed your latest versions: something small need to be corrected: \ -g30 suddenly instead of the previous -g32

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

This weekend I will try the workflow both on manual and guided mode using my i1Pro2 and maybe my i1Pro1 too. Also the Colormunki will be used. Note: the i1Pro1 needs about 8-9 mm height patches, so the condensed (-a0.95) layout might be a problem, but I will report back how this will behave and...

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

Yes you should. I would use -n32. The first profile with -g32 is to do the grey separation (to determine how good the printer can print grey separation, NOT about the teint of grey). The second iteration will use the first data (from which the neutral axis is determined) and from the first data...

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

I have found the culprit: it only works in guided mode. In manual mode: Als I have discovered with the guided mode AND multiple pages: no "page x of y" printed on the legenda Tip for guided mode: use the following standard targen arguments for 1 page (528 patches): targen -d2 -G -e4 -B4...

Still possible to choose colored and b/w spacer simultaneously: Thus the setting "force colored spacers" will prevail. When choosing one of them the other should be unchecked. Not sure what I have doing wrong: I have checked "use ChromIQ=style clipping border", but the generated target still...

Printer and media setting can be indeed placed on the target after creating the chart: I am not sure it would be possible when calling the printing windows and after selecting the media setting/printer this extra information can placed on the target. I see there is a free entry form in beginning...

Hello, Thanks for te update: unfortunately with my busy job I can only have look at it from time to time, but I will report back and will suggest improvements and check if there are any flaws in the design. Keep up the good job 👍. What you can program is that you can have some entry form like...

I will give you the exact distances to maximize the patch count possible on A4 so you can have a look how the patches can be orientated in the most ergonomically best position later on. It should be possible to put about 600 to 650 patches with these constrainments in mind see my home brewed...

[Tool] ChromIQ – a macOS and Windows GUI for ArgyllCMS printer profiling (v3.8.0)

@itsab1989: Maybe a cosmetic correction to be done: when I try a Colormunki-like method (50 + 50) with the i1pro2 but now using 240 initial patches > preconditioning target created > create 240 new patches on a single sheet of A4 and I check: "Stamp targen and printtarg commands on the chart"...
