Hi @pharmacist in this last print, i see a stronger Red respect all the other previously printed test images
I don't know if it's the paper (Satin more saturated ?) /printer/ink combination or what
ok thanks for the new ruler but i will need to fix my 3d printer before
i mean not in the long side, but in the sort side, anyway my ruler is 21,2 cm in the long and 6mm in the short side
the problem can be the printer region, because with US printers for sure it doesn't work, when you reset the original cartridges they will lose the Epson "originality" so the printer will recognize them like compatible and with US firmwares you can't use them, but with european firmwares you can.
the big window is 20cm large (why so short if i enlarged your project ?), so i suppose is this the problem.
the sensor window is 21,2cm large
but for now i can't reprint the 3d model, my printer is off we need to fix it
if you see the image, instead i can't reach the left and right white...
@pharmacist today i tried to use your enlarged ruler (we used a value to increase the length) to scan using i1profiler v3.1.1 for Mac with my i1pro (EFI-1000) but with no success,
I could read 24/25 patches versus 27 of each line, the ruler is not long enough to permit the read of all the...
if i remember good @pharmacist had troubles after 3/4 refill with the aliexpress cartridge, use the original, i already refilled them 5 times with no problem, the Chinese sponge is not so good like the Epson one
the Epson 378 cartridge are Claria HD and the Epson 106 bottles are a good replacement like @Ink stained Fingers fade tests show
Using the 106 bottles you have all the main colors and can mix the main colors to get the light versions, i suspect that someone can help you dosing the colors.
but...
that i mean @Ink stained Fingers is, seeing the original posted Evaluation Images from @pharmacist we can see that original Red (the upper image) is a little stronger of the Mixed Red (the lower image) maybe a bit of Black or more Magenta will give a stronger Red ? anyway after profiling we will...
I was thinking that maybe we can add 1/2/3 part of Cyan or less to the Magenta/Yellow mix to add more punch to the Red, @pharmacist did you try to add Cyan to your mix ?
EDIT: hmm from color theory RED is created from Magenta + Yellow, than to have it lighter we can add White, to have it darker...
I will use the 80 parts of magenta and 20 parts of yellow to get the Red
for the grey i wll use the Epson 114 grey bottle, it is already ready to use
I have different syringue for different color, so i have one for CMYB
I got 6 bottles so i can fill them with each color CMYB plus Red and...
Thank you very much @pharmacist i will have a lot to test in Christmas time:
- some ancient HP Baryte Satin Art Paper (it tells for pigment inks, but i will try with dye) i have in A3+, 610mmx30m rolls and 1118mmx15,2m rolls
- some old A3+ Arches Textured Cotton paper (i suppose it is Hahnemuhle...
Hi again @pharmacist i would like to have also a target patches for a single 10x15cm sheet (i suppose it will be around 120/140 patches)
i know it can't be used for generating a true ICC profile, but i will use it to test an unknown (or not defined) paper with different media (paper) type, just...
Ok now i understand your point,
intensive clean and flush of the channel without considering the clog possibility between the cartridge change let me decide to use only the 106 dye black, i was supposing wrong
thanks for your findings and hints
My question was about the 105 ink, because it is pigment ink, that would give a better black on Matte Papers.
The XP 15000 has the head on each cartridge so on each colors if i'm right (correct me if i'm wrong)
If it's so, i could have a Black Cartridge with Pigment ink to use when i need to...
I printed the A4 target patch on Normal Paper using A4 Bordless option but Expansion minimal and it is printed perfectly on A4 using all the space
i tried to print the target with Colorsync Utility (using Color: Print as target option) and using Adobe Color Print Utility (that use Colorsync...
I know this post is old, but i have some questions for you,
i have a lot of 105 Black (I suppose it is Pigment Black) that i got buying old set of 105/106 inks for my Epson XP 15000, i have about 1 LT of it
now the questions are:
Can i use this Black on my Epson XP 15000 replacing the...
