Nifty-Stuff:
I just tried to access the manual listings on www.fixyourownprinter.com, they are gone. They don't have any replacement for their manuals.
I guess we are out of luck, I downloaded a few of the manuals but not enough.
I had a friends s9000 that was giving the 7 yellow flashes with a green. This turned out to be waste tank full error. The way I cleared both problems was to remove the printhead and use the reset code for the waste tank. After the reset code was entered the printer was unplugged and the print...
You might want to check Weink.com, they claim their bulk ink will last quite awhile if you use Red River Paper.

They also have bulk ink for the new Canon printers.
Canon has introduced numerous new printers to include All in One. Check them out. http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=103
I descovered the same problem a few months ago on a Canon S9000. http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=788#p788
Some of the older Canon Printers require the print head to be removed before it will enter the maintenence mode, I think it has something to do with the firmware. I...

Powerbroker:
You might want to try and swap the print heads between printers and see if the problem follows the print head. If it does it is most likely the way the print head handles the ink flow. If the problem follows the print head then you would have to fix the problem with adjusting the...
Manuchau:
The BCI-3 color cartridges are not pigmented the only pigment ink cartridge in the BCI-3 line is the BK cartridge. As the BCI-3BK cartridge is larger than the other BCI-3 cartridges you can not use it in place of the BCI-6BK cartridge.
Check this link out within this forum for...
It depends on the vendor. I am using BCI-3 cartridges in my iP4000 without a problem with ink flow and color shift.
I have read the ink shade from some vendors are off, giving you a color shift from magenta to blue. You will just have to try the inks and see if they are up to par.
You should check this link out, the price on the whole kit is very reasonable and the cartridges uses a plastic screw for the refill port. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZkbay2002QQssPageNameZSTRKQ3aMEFSQ3aMESOI
Weink.com is now listing bulk inks for the BCI-7 cartridges (ColorLife 100 inks). I don't know if the new CLI-8 inks are the same but I suspect they are. Canon probably decided to try to get more money from the U. S. market by changing the cartridges and placing a chip on them to make it...
I read on another forum the new Canon cartridges CLI and the PG have a chip, what the purpose of the chip is probably to keep us from refilling the cartridges. Link to forum:
