Windows 10 driver for Epson CX3600

Had a quick look and the CX3600 wasn't released in the UK but the CX3650 was. From using that I found that Epson have released a "Universal Print Driver" which is sparkly and new with a release date of 24/01/24... https://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/6601/epson660114eu.exe Let me...

You know you're a printer addict when...

It appears my habit hasn't changed... if anything it's worse... - You look around your room and realise you have more than 20 working printers in it - You look around your workspace and realise that there's a further 25-30 broken printers in it Whoops!

How to disable remaining ink detection on canon pro-1000

So to summarise and make this less technical... (I've paraphrased the quotes here) So when you get error code 1752, top up the ink in the cartridge and replace the cartridge and the error will disappear for a while. This is the error code you want to disable the ink monitoring levels at. Not...

    Label/Receipt Printer High Volume Recommendation

Unfortunately I don't have any of the newer models so can't comment but I'd imagine they'll be very similar in terms of functionality and speed. As to label costs, we actually get free 6x4" labels from our couriers so we don't buy them ourselves. Once of the few benefits of being a UK operation...

    Label/Receipt Printer High Volume Recommendation

The ones I use are the GK420D and we do have a couple of GK420T's as well but I believe they've stopped making those and pushed to newer so I'm out of date. The GK420D's are absolute work horses for us though for our shipping labels and various other bits... The T variant are great for colour...

How long will the ink absorber last on a Canon MegaTank?

Sounds like they were having problems with air getting into the CIS system. If you find that's a problem, check that the orange label hasn't been left on the top of the printhead. If it has, remove it... but make sure you clamp off the tubing first by lifting the blue ink reservoir cover so it's...

Canon Pro-100s - when deep cleaning doesn't help

Tbh I know we've had some issues with the Greys, Light Greys in the past and I've learned not to ass-u-me it's user error (unlike the days of IT tech support). But age is likely the primary culprit here... and by that I mean ink age, not the number of "tree rings" on ourselves if someone hacks...

I swapped 551 OEM cartridge ink with OEM gi-53 ink. A Write Up.

Ain't that the truth... But we don't want them getting too cocky either ;) Never apologise for positive messages. There's plenty enough of vitriol and angst that needs a kick in the pants. Thanks again..

Canon Pro-100s - when deep cleaning doesn't help

With our version 1 Pro-100 inks, yes, unfortunately very much yes.. With the version 2's... Less so but if memory serves there has been some limited reports of inks degrading less gracefully, or uniformly on the version 2's but pretty rare all told. In this instance though it does look to be...

"You know you're a printer addict when..." ... you're still active on this forum! In truth though I did actually wonder if Inkjet printers would have been effectively an afterthought long before now but Covid, home schooling, remote working, etc... somehow we're still here. :frow:old

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

Good question... I would hope so but I don't have an answer as I've not tried. You could certainly look at finding a font that you can create a block of "text" with and that may suffice but you may struggle to force pigment ink to be used for a black image area. You are correct regarding ink...

I swapped 551 OEM cartridge ink with OEM gi-53 ink. A Write Up.

Well I am crankier and older but I think that's more because my kids describe my YouTube videos as "Great sleep therapy for insomniacs"... :fl ...I still love them... I think... :smack Thank-you for both of your kind words though...

Canon PRO-100 or PRO-100s Waste Ink Pads full?

I could be wrong on this as I'm not fully versed on the service tools for Canon but that 006 error seems to indicate that the printer wasn't in service mode. Hard to be sure but from checking a few videos the printer should show up as something generic like "Device" in the Settings > Devices list.

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

It's not so much when plain paper is selected but when it it printing an image vs' a text document. Pigment black is often only used for text that has not been rasterised (eg: Docx vs' PNG).

Canon Pro-100s - when deep cleaning doesn't help

Hi Kasper.. Few things I note although I have access to information that nobody else does so hopefully it'll provide a fuller picture. 1. The issue doesn't appear to be an electrical issue but something's definitely not happy with the ink flow in the GY, LGY and BK cartridges. Hard to tell...

    imagePROGRAF PRO-300: blurry edges

Hmm... That actually sounds like one of the paper feed rollers may be warped or out of position somehow.. I wonder if the guides have slipped on one side or similar? Never seen it before myself but that's about the only thing that makes sense at the moment. That or possibly there's something...

    imagePROGRAF PRO-300: blurry edges

Thinking outside the box here but is there something on the roller edges that is stretching/warping the paper slightly? The results seem to be entirely too uniform for it to just be some kind of judder or play in the printhead itself. Just my 2 penneth worth.

    Pro 10 print head going..

My experience of the Yellow Jello was that Canon were using a co-solvent with their new dye and that this was falling apart and recombining poorly with whatever was diluting it (eg: minerals in tap water, compatible dyes, etc.) so I have my doubts. But it was never proven so I could be...

    Pro 10 print head going..

I guess that's a distinct possibility but bit odd that Canon might have a difference in carrier fluid. Sounds like a process for flushing the printhead buffer would be useful to avoid that sort of issue. Outside of my experience to date but maybe something for the future.

Canon Maxify MB2320 Error Code 5207

Did you ever play with the Inktec Maxify inks (C5000)? Understand your decision to work with the GI-56 inks though. I've been considering supporting the process for Maxify with some instruction videos but I don't have any more space to bring in printers until I clear out at least 10 of the 40...
