Hello!
I'm using InkMon 4 to help me keep track of ink usage, however, I am still a little confused about how it works. From what I understand, it takes the # of ML of ink used (# of ml of ink injected after a certain print job), and the number of bytes of data printed, and uses that to...
I found SPINAL needles to be excellent. These are needles used by anesthesiologists to induct spinal anesthesia (via spinal tap). Not sure about off-the-shelf availability in the USA though.
Why go through all the trouble? Unless you guys can't buy syringes in the USA? A trip to the local pharmacy here and I can get syringes with or without needles from 1cc to 30cc, but 50cc syringes are hard to find.
Have you tried "working" the plunger before using the syringe? Pull it out and...
Hello guys!
I'm using my printer with a little program called InkSaver. What it does is basically limit the amount of ink fired from the printer so that prints on one side of the sheet don't show up much on the other side of the sheet, on a 80gsm white bond paper.
I noticed I'm getting...
Yeah, I agree. This 3300 is my first printer above the "budget/disposable" printers from Canon, and I sure would like to keep it running for as long as I can.
I live in the Philippines, anybody know of an Asian distributor? I'm looking forward to buying Hobbicolors ink since people here swear by them, but international shipping is a killer.
There are 2 bulk inks available locally, with different prices. How does one "test" if an ink supplier or the ink itself is of good quality? Do I just use it and hope for the best? Do I have to find out the hard way via clogged print heads and busted carts? Is there a safer method?
I used...
That's where the confusion came in. I want to save my OEM ink BEFORE it runs out. I want to save it for "future" use, when I have more "worthy" projects (note that my printing of books and comics isn't what I really consider "worthy").
Still, I think panos is right... when I put it back in...
Sorry for the OT, but why are commercial refill machines like this? I mean, don't they do it like we do (drill holes and such)? How do refill machines do their thing? Do the machines do anything else besides refill?
You lost me there. What part of my post were you replying to?
In case I haven't been clear, I usually use my OEM ink for projects I feel "deserve" the OEM ink --- namely family pictures, etc. When I use up the OEM ink and begin to do refill, then I go crazy with whatever project strikes my...
Back when I was working with my 1200, I was used to low-capacity ink tanks which would be low after 40-60 pages, so I can refill almost within the week. Also, I would tend to use the OEM ink for "worthwhile" projects such as printing pictures. With my 3300, well, I've been out of ideas how to...
Two things:
I just got a 3300.
4500s are on order-basis... and they aren't even sure if they can find any.
That's next on my list tho... or another 3300
:)
Thanks for the excellent words, panos. I already did :D
@jflan:
I can only do 4 colors since local stores do not store photo-CYM colors, or pigment black. I do see what you mean about refilling and newer models.... I'm itching to go out and get me another 3300 or 4500 for "just...
Excellent idea... that way different type of printers are "the same" since they use the same tanks....
Like I said, I've been out of the loop for a while, care to elaborate just a bit?
How do I know the "desirable" ones from the "non-desirable" ones? That sounded funny... but I'm serious.
Do...
