I upgraded to High Sierra and then realised that High Sierra is intended for solid state hard drives and my iMac has a mechanical hard drive, So I downgraded to Sierra again - it took overall about four weeks (no kidding!). I've had this printer offline for a couple of months because of an amber light error. However, before throwing it out I decided to try one last tine. I took the printer off my iMac then put it back again. Now I have a different error message. Now I get ten alternate white and amber light...

OK. Took out carts and head. Switched on. Five flashes - print head not installed. Installed print head. Four flashes, carts not installed. Installed carts. Ten flashes. Followed the lifting the top cover and run procedure. Now about to try a print - no, same as before - goes halfway through...
