    Ink cartrigdge dry up quick

I programmed it for a time when I will be on my computer anyway and the software is a free download. I could do it manually but chances are I will forget. I don't think you will find something to cure your problem that isn't computer dependent.

New method to reset Canon chipped cartridges?

I'm using a program from a gentleman in Australia called InkMon ( www.inkmon.org ) that, after some fiddling, is tracking the refilled cartridges in my MP600 fairly accurately. Might be worth looking into.

There Has To Be An Easier Way !!!! Ughhhhh

There is a small program from a gentleman in Australia caled InkMon ( www.inkmon.org ) that will monitor ink useage and let you know when cartridges are running low. It requires some adjusting based on your printing but has been working well on my MP600.

Isn't there an option in your printer properties to print in greyscale? This will, at least on my Canon, use only the black cartridge.

    Atlantic Inkjet cartridges - Suppliers

I've seen posts that indicate that there are refillers in the UK that have the chip resetters and will exchange your cartridges with refilled, reset units.

    G&g Cli-8 ?

The part of the lable that is the same color as the ink should remain on the cartridge. You might try replacing the part you removed with a good grade of tape.

I don't like to complain, but do you realize how hard it is to read a post where every word is capitalized? It also has to take longer to type.

    HP C7280 vs Canon MP610

i've got a MP600 which is last years 610 and I'm very satisfied. It replaced a HP PSC 2110 all in one and both print and scan quality is better than the HP ever had, It's quieter(even has a quiet mode so you don'w wake up anybody late at night. I like the individual cartridges and am...

How to make the chip last forever on Canon IP tanks (maybe)

When the cartridge reads empty you will start getting messages that eventually will tell you to press a certain button to bypass ink level monitoring. You can refill the cartridges but they will always indicate empty and you will have to physically monitor ink levels. Ink level monitoring can...

How to make the chip last forever on Canon IP tanks (maybe)

The problem with that is that the chip records nozzle firings and when it feels the tank should be empty you will have to perform the bypass to disable ink level monitoring.

    Restoring INK monitoring on ip4300

Not necessarily. If I remember correctly the wording is that the warranty can be voided if the refilled cartridges damage the printer. in the case here that may be what Canon will assume since it's the printhead that's bad.

    Restoring INK monitoring on ip4300

As far as I know the only way is to put a set of OEM cartridges in it. I wouldn't try the refilled and reset cartridges. The printer will still have logged that at one time the ink level monitoring was disabled.

    Injector needles

You received 16 guage needles instead of 22 guage. 22 guage needles ate approx 0.7 mm diameter. 16 guage are approx 1.6 mm dia. You are probably in a restricted state.

    Injector needles

I took the 3 inch 16 guage injectors and honed them at an angle of about 30 degrees on a diamond hone. It gives a very sharp tip and will go through the sponge in a CLI 8 with no difficulty so my problem is solved.

I'm crazy: I bought an expensive Canon resetter !

Isn't there a problem with resetting a cartridge and then reinstalling it in the same printer? I had understood that the chips are serialized and the printer wouldn't see a rest chip with a serial number it recognized as being a new cartridge.

    Injector needles

Those are the needles and it was from A Lot of Things. If you live in a restricted state you will get the 16 guage needles. You might want to call them before you order.

    Injector needles

I ordered some 3 inch 22 guage needles so I could refill my chipped Canons using the German system. 22 guage needles have an outside diameter of 0.711mm. The needles I received hav a diameter of 1.61mm. This is a 16 guage needle. I called the company I ordered them from and I found out that...
