same Supplier
GLO has one up and running and websnail plans to review one in the future.
Their website is limited. I am waiting for further reviews of these units on this forum before taking the...
Clever technique, needle may not need to be quite so long as it only needs to get across the sponge chamber into thru the gap between the chambers. Its interesting there is no flow of ink back out the needle when the cartridge is upright during the minute when waiting for the sponge to absorb...
I cannot view any products on the ink.supply.hk site. I have registered and signed in but can't view any products. Searched for "ip3000" and "canon" --> no items resulted. Has the site been more functional than this in the past?
Websnail,
Would be interested in your review of this CISS...
GLO,
am interested in further feedback on your new system, I have been using 2 Sinopis CISS on MP730 for 2 years. Starting to have flow problems in the sponged colour cartridges. I suspect the sponges / tubes need cleaning/ flushing.
One criticism I have of the sinopis tanks are that they...
What brand of cartridges are you using? I have seen degrees of contamination especially with yellow. I think that if there is a leaky cartridge that ink will wick back up when the print head has been parked for a significant period of time. Have a look under the printhead abd see if there is...
Good solid advice from Panos,
the trouble is you need to learn and the OEM cartridges are a bit expensive to learn on. But if you go straight to nylon screws and O rings and some sort of occluder for the exit port and good ink , You're well on the way. Formulabs seems to be favorite bulk ink...
I was hoping that someone could perhaps identify the exact supplier by recognising the label. Many of the compatibles don't have discrete wells in the sponge vent maze like in the OEM. These wells are ideal for oversize drilling and then the right angle spigot to make a CIS will fit neatly.
I...
I bought a second hand MP730 here in Australia and it had these compatible cartridges in place. Interestingly they are very close to OEM cartridges in that the venting grove follows a course that has the two wells like the Canon OEM. These type of cartridge look very suitable to use as part of a...
My blue nozzle check and MIS purge pattern showed the blue wasn't printing properly.
I took out the print head and washed it under lab quality pure water and then a shallow soak in Windex. Its is interesting to see how the blue wicks out thru the top as there is no flow thru the this port. The...

Will need to wait until someone has first hand experience.
Please explain?
Presumably you are saying that it is more expensive to manufacture cartridges with 4 pronged clips than with a full cartrige clip.
Certainly from the end users perspective as there are so many factors involved in determining the cost of the inkjet cartridge, cartridges with all...
The partition in these cartridges completely separates the sponged and non sponged compartments. There is a conduit from above the sponge that goes to the outside of the top of the cartridge and across and into and then down into the non sponged chamber almost to the bottom. The non sponged...
I like the idea of the four pronged clips, better than the full cartridge clips as they stress the main front clip on the cartridge. I have had some of these break off from the body of the ink cartridge at the hinge and thus the cartridge becomes useless. The brand I have been using with the...
I do find the the nylon screws and O rings fool proof once you them set up for a particular cartridge. For the OEM cartridges I use 8-32UNC nylon screw and an appropriate tap. For some of the other compatibles I find 6-32UNC nylon screws better.
I would be dubious about the clips on the exit...

They are not the cheapest, but have clips that can be used again.
Would be suitable for modification with some nylon...
Filling the normal OEM canon BCI3/6 cartridges whilst still in the printer will cause a mess.
The cartridges in the link below are designed to be filled in the printer. The design is like a continuous ink system where the ink is sucked into the sponge reservoir. The existing reservoir is like...
I can buy 1 litre of Formulabs Black Ink for BCI 3 for $59 AUS = $45US
1 Gallon of Formulabs Black Ink ( which is prob the same as the OEM) = $45x3.78 = $170.00
versus OEM cartridge cost of $2600.
