I have an older style box (the bigger one) of genuine Canon CLI-8 Photo Cyan ink. Given the size of the box, and that it has only one printer model listed on it (I forget which one but it clearly does not list the Pro9000 or other newer models) I'm guessing it has to be at least two years old...
I got some Canon ink from a seller on eBay. The price was pretty good but I was wondering if there was a way to figure what the manufacturing or packaging date is from the codes on the box.
Thank you TH. Sure enough whatever that was, when I tried it from Firefox per Jackson's method I had no problem at all.
Nice to have the instructions! :)
I bought some Ilford Classic Pearl and some Moab Lasal. Hope to see it in the next few days. Wondering if anyone here has determined what the correct media type is for these.
Um, no not really. I reprinted with Perceptual and at least to my eyes it looked almost the same. However I am letting it dry for 24 hours before making a final judgement.
No offense meant to Jackson, but when I landed on the site I got multiple items popping onto that webpage, and the sound of multiple clicks which are usually an indication of something bad happening. Moments after that my mouse starting moving on its own. Fairly straighforward cause and effect...
Hmm, I don't get anything on the left side of the webpage with this link (which is where I assume the instructions are). Just a big black box.
Tried it again. Is this some kind of spam producing web site? I figured maybe the first time I didn't wait long enough. But I did this time and all of a...
Well, I profiled again using a preshifted Blue. No difference. I'd repost the comparison but it would be within one or two RGB points identical to what I posted before. I am positive I read the preshifted targets. I could even tell visually they were the preshifted targets. Why S3P produced a...
I remember when this feature first came out, and even Epson would not include it in US versions of their printers. They finally gave in (as I understand it), but is Canon still following that outdated thinking? They must be, as my 8000 Mk.II did not have the CD try in it.
I knew it wouldn't be...
Clive, go here
http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/printers_page.htm
and read the reviews of both printers. There are other reviews which can be found by searching the web, but this is a good place to start. You may not be aware of this, but the Pro9000 Mark II can be had for a really good price...
Of course I was kidding. I don't know about that hour thing. I did a spectro read of a print after an hour or so and then 24 hours later. The numbers were not the same, so I decided that it would be best to wait a day before reading.
