I've not noticed any streaking but I seldom print photos in the maximum resolution. I'll give it a try just to see. I'm pretty sure this printer "knows" if the lid is open and won't print so I'll have to "fool" it by depressing a switch somewhere.
Thanks,
Keith
I had a CIS on an Epson R320 that looks identical to the one in your link and it worked fine. However, I'd rather have one like the "piano" that attaches to the printer - makes moving the printer much easier. It takes up less desk space and, well, it just looks so cool.
It appears that...
I'm aware of the waste ink issues with Epson printers but I don't see much written about the same issue on HP printers. Yet I must assume they generate waste ink when flushing the print head.
I've got the C309a and we are using it quite a bit, to the point that we've used almost half the black...
Added foam picture. If you look closely you'll see that the foam was not there in the second picture. I was originally just laying the foam in place and closing the lid during the "proof of concept" stage. As you can see in the fourth picture, it's now installed (double sided tape).
Here's a reasonable pic of the printhead: http://www.inkproducts.com/PDF%20Instructions/How%20to%20flush%20564%20printhead.pdf
The CIS cartridges can be seen here: http://www.inkproducts.com/PDF%20Instructions/HP%20PhotosmarC309a%20CIS%20Ins.pdf
The 564 refillable cartridges can be seen...
I thought I'd never seen such a device. Turns out I've been looking at one for the past few days. Take a look at the first picture I posted in this thread: http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4715
I puzzled over this design for a while. It is simply a Mariotte siphon...
1) How long did it take for the installation?
I did not time myself, but probably about 45 minutes. I took my time. It can probably be done in about 10 minutes with some experience.
2) Did you have to make any other modifications besides the foam padding?
No.
3) Have you refilled any of...
I'm not sure I'm expert enough to submit a review on here so I've got my flame-suit on.
After frustration with too many printers on my desk (old HP Deskjet 970, HP LaserJet 6mp, Epson R320, and an Epson scanner) I decided to investigate All-In-One printers. I've generally stayed away from such...
All too funny. I particularly liked the poem.
Well, I got the HP AIO because my work space was getting out of control and everyone else in the family was tired of all the confusion (all seemed perfectly logical to me, however).
I had an HP 970Cse, my first "photo" printer which I kept (even...
I'm not sure I completely qualify for the title of Printer Hobbyist but I do enjoy tinkering with anything mechanical or electrical (Ga Tech EE '85). I hate paying retail for anything, thus the refill/CIS obsession.
I got my CIS at www.inkproducts.com. They have been very helpful and any...
A few weeks ago I purchased an HP Photosmart Premium AIO C309a. Observations so far . . .
Setup was a breeze. I downloaded all the latest software from HP's website rather than using the CD that came with it.
I initially loaded the "BIG" software that has everything on my main computer. I...
I haven't gotten into this to the point that I know the different print heads - I threw that out to get some comments from the experts here.
It's my understanding that the CIS I purchased has pigment black for black&white document printing and dye-based ink for the photo ink (cartridges on my...
I just bought an HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one with fax (C309a). I bought a continuous ink system from InkProducts (but haven't installed that yet).
So far I absolutely love this printer. It's tied into my wireless network and so far it has worked flawlessly with all the computers in my...
New to the forum here, this is my first post!
I've been refilling Hp 45 & 78 cartridges for years and I've used a CIS on an Epson R320 for the past two years. I just purchased an HP C309a (Photosmart Premium AIO with fax) and I got a CIS for it from www.inkproducts.com. However, I've yet to...
