The missing corner problem has nothing to do with ink BRAND-- it has to do with PRINT QUALITY settings.
For a long time I was seeing this not only in the nozzle test prints, but in some labels in which a pure color block began near the top of the print.
I.e.-- I might have a block of...
I recently got another batch of ink carts from inkgrabber.com and they've been fine--
the bad batch was several colors, not just the cyan, but apparently the problem found out and fixed-
like I said, first time ever in years I ever had a problem from this company.
Given that the color...
I've also noted that G&G carts are EXTREMELY difficult to refill because the refill plug has this nasty little black plastic plug in it- 50% of the time when I attempt to punch out the refill hole, and plug up (using Computer Friends blue plugs) the seal is not complete and the cart leaks.
I DO...
I just got a really bad batch of CYAN BCI-6 carts manufactured by G&G (through inkgrabber)
I've used Inkgrabber's stuff for years- absolutely no problem- till today.
I ordered 6 CYAN BCI-6 carts for my 4 Canon i960 printers-
I immediately noticed OVERSATURATION of CYAN--
Then I noticed the...
Greetings forum users!
Ah, but its been a while since I visited- thought I would let you know what's up--
I've recently begun FULL inhouse printing of all of my books that I sell on my web site www.NeilSlade.com
you can view the vast catalog here http://www.neilslade.com/order.html
The...
Today I had to reset my friends Canon s900 from the dreaded waste tank full- your printer will soon be worthless except for a paperweight error message.
It WOULDN'T work, although I followed the directions exactly. I had similar problems with resetting my i960 about 9 months ago, and finally my...

Greetings all--
MY MY MY has this board grown!!
anyway, just a quickie-- Inkgrabber.com has switched to G&G ink for Canon printers- this ink brand gives better color profile than previous Rainbow ink.
The downside, however, is that under testing-- so we are told- by Wilhelm Labs, G&G is not...
Well, I'm sorry but I don't buy the argument- or is it propaganda- that third party, second party, whatever you call them-- INDEPENDENT reasonably priced inks shorten the life of your printer.
I have a Canon S900, still in service after thousands and thousands of prints. I have 3 i950 printers...
Hi inkjet freaks....
Yesterday I got an email about an article that appeared in PC World Magazine concerning the reduced life of prints made with third party ink....
First, why do they call it THIRD Party-- it would seem that a company other than the manufacturer of the printer would be the...
The sponge should always remain saturated with ink, in any cart. When ink is drawn from the sponge side, it does not change color- as if draining with ink. The time to change carts occurs when the reservoir side goes empty. You can continue to print after this, but this is when the printer...
It would seem to me that the colors of a FOUR COLOR printer would differ in many repects from a printer designed to use SIX COLORS, specifically in the formulation of CYAN/PHOTO CYAN and MAGENTA/PHOTO MAGENTA and that the cyan and magenta carts are NOT interchagable, although the yellow would...
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Actually the missing first corner lines in the test patterns can happen with ANY brand of ink, this is a very common thing. My educated guess is that its actually related to sponge air--
MIS INK: Been using them for YEARS without ANY problem. Their ink has been excedingly...
I had trouble with two other modified Canon cart designs-- ink eventually- an in some cases IMMEDIATELY- began leaking and disaster in my printhead was the result.
My advice is to use EXTREME caution when testing or using non-original sponge designed carts.
It would be nice if someone came up...
Yes, Inkgrabber switched to a new formula for their inks-- I was one of the testers-
What the changed most was adjusting the tint of the CYAN, not so much the intensity.
The Canon cyans and photocyans are an ultramarine tint rather than a cobalt (the old inkgrabber). Ultramarine is more of a...
Been using MIS ink for YEARS without ANY problem. There ink has been excedingly accurate in color and in my use.
The viscosity issue came up because some people started EXPERIMENTING with ALTERNATIVE DESIGN cartridges.
I used these myself - but stopped IMMEDIATELY because THEY ALL FAILED...
I don't agree with the latest opinion that MIS inks are problematic.
What I found to be a CONSISTANT problem was NON-STANDARD Canon replacement carts that are claimed to be IMPROVEMENTS over the standard Canon design.
NONE of these carts worked for me over anything longer than a short period...
Although there are many alternative ink suppliers out there, alas, I don't have time to test them all.
I've been a fan of MIS inks and quite satisfied with their bulk Canon inks (4 oz bottles) and found them very close to Canon colors, and for all practical purposes a perfect alternative.
For...
