Any suggestions before I give up on my 837?

I've got an Epson 837 that has a few clogged nozzles on the black channel. I've tried numerous head cleanings, head realignment and placing a Windex soaked paper towel under the printhead many times
but still no success. I've even removed the black cart and taken a squeeze bottle with long needle on it and squirted it into the receptacle beneath the cart. I'm positive it is several clogged nozzles because it repeats the same nozzle check over and over. If it were air in the lines the pattern would be different each time. This printer has had what I consider little use. It has, however, been used more than once per week in the 1 year since I bought it. I've gone through the carts that came with it and replaced them with PC ARC carts and PC ink and used about 2 oz of the refill ink. So that tells you how much it's been used. My question now to you is, is there anything you can suggest that I haven't tried to clear these nozzles. Should I just give up and toss it and cut my losses, vowing never to buy another printer without a removable printhead?

I was able to push about 5cc's of Windex into the printhead with syringe and tubing. I'm going to let it sit for awhile and see if that loosens up the crud.

All of them! LOL
Remember what I suggested earlier elsewhere.
Don't just pump Windex in. Gently aspirate and push Windex. Then let it sit soaking!
Then try again.
After several cycles, reinstall the carts, do one cleaning and nozzle check.
I've revived a R870 a 1270 and three 2200s that way but it does take TIME and perseverance!!!

Air in an Epson piezo Nozzle Chamber can be VERY hard to expel via cleaning, as ink is in-compressible, but an air bubble is compressible. Sometimes those will improve with time as the air bubble dissolves into the ink, but that's SLOWWWWW (like overnight).

Do you repetitive nozzle check defects repeat over a course of days?

My little Epson dye printer has been diagnosed with a case of trapped air in black, been six months now, pics look ok even B&W, but nozzle check says one is still missing.........

I wait!!!!!

You‘ve now got a great big new Canon printer to play with and it might get jealous of you fussing over the opposition so I’d recommend just leaving it to soak for a week at a time (Refresh Weekly) and after 3 months or so do a head clean and a nozzle check.

There’s no hurry to fix it up again so don’t rush it, time is patients so use that extra time to get use to your new printer and see what it can do.:love

Nice new Avatar by the way, out with the old… :smack

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
In case this hasn't cropped up already the Artisan 837 is also covered by this guide I wrote and did a video for some time ago:
http://www.wasteink.co.uk/fix-epson-airlock-clog/

While it's not necessarily going to be your issue is provides you with some input on how to flush the lines and get cleaning solution into your printhead...

Couple that with the passive head clean approach and you've got something for your printer to do for a few days while you recover from your New Years libations. ;)

I appreciate everyones help but due to my circumstances I've decided to give up. My results this morning are that the same nozzles are still clogged. Today is the 30th of December and I have a ton of statements to print out for my business so I literally can't afford to wait any longer. I've found a great deal on a new Canon MG7120 (with removable printhead) from a local vendor and have bought it and am printing as I type. I realize that I could use my Pro 100 for this purpose but it is rather slow and I'd rather save its ink for its intended purpose, which is for photos.

So, if any of you are interested in a slightly used, slightly clogged Epson 837 with attached Printer Potty and PC ARC carts along with original depleted carts just send me a PM and maybe we can work something out. I'm thinking $25 -$30 shipping to CONUS and whatever you feel is appropriate for the printer, carts, and potty. I've attached a picture of the nozzle check for you to see.
