Canon Pixma IP4000 - suddenly stopped printing anything

Well its definitely not flashing orange five times while the printhead is out of the printer. The status light is steady green i.e. OK. This seems very odd. Regrettably I dont have a copy of the service manual. Does anyone have any information of how the printers electronics can be reset...

Canon Pixma IP4000 - suddenly stopped printing anything

Thanks for the rapid reply ! When I take the printhead out and power down the printer and then power up again it appears to go through the normal startup cycle and then just displays the normal power on steady green light by the power button. Is this right? Should it show amber warning signals...

This Canon Pixma IP4000 suddenly stopped printing anything on the paper no warning, nothing There is no failed printhead warning lights flashing and it still attempts to print as usual but nothing is coming out on the page. Canon i850 - cross contamination of colors

I know this has been covered before in various ways but just wondered if I could have some views on the viability of purchasing a new print head. The colors tend to get mixed up yellow has particularly been a problem. Ive done the following:- dismantled the printer, cleaned the waste ink area...

Canon Pixma IP 2000 Power Supply - part number K30229

Thanks for the suggestions. Bit more progress. When I investigated the power supply I discovered it had blown the fuse on its own circuit board, which I replaced and it happened again (while not connected to the printer). Therefore I doubt that the printer's own circuitry would have caused...

Hi All, I've got a Canon Pixma IP 2000 with a blown power supply (European Version) Input 220/240 volt, 50/60HZ 0.35A and Output 24 Volt 1.1A. The power out (to the printer) is by way of a molex plug that has two blue and one red wire. Does anyone know how the power to the wiring is arranged...

Canon i455 probable blocked black print head

Strangely enough the problem with the ink going patchy does not occur when high quality output is selected I havent tried a genuine Canon cartridge yet (its using a new compatible think cartridge) and wonder if this might solve the problem as it could be an ink quality issue. Windex (ammonia...

Canon i455 probable blocked black print head

I've now purged the black part of the print head using cartridge flush drawn upwards from the nozzles and out from the inlet hole. After several goes (producing jet black cartridge flush) and retesting the head now prints black again! But it appears not to be able to get enough ink to the head...

Canon i455 probable blocked black print head

Thanks for your help. Its definitely not the ink cartridge as I've tried a couple of them that work on my other Canon printer (S200). I'll see if pushing the cleaning fluid through the inlet hole works. Its interesting that the only black printing I've got so far was after the print head...

Canon i455 probable blocked black print head

Hi All, I've just got from a relative a Canon i455 inkjet printer that appears to have the black print-head blocked. The colour works perfectly. I've tried all the obvious cleaning of the print head and then re-tested but still have no black print at all. I then soaked the print head output...
