Well I got all 24 carts filled and plugged. :) It seems to be taking a little bit longer on some carts vs others to become evenly saturated through the sponge though.
I had some ink from precision colors for my mg5320 that started turning to globs. However the bottle had been open long before the expiration date and didn't start turning to goo till a year after. I'm so glad I have a pro-100 now refilling is much better and I don't see myself having stored ink...
Alright Joe,
I flushed all 21 of them. Man my fingers are sore from pulling that plunger.:sick However, there was a bit ink still in the cart right past the port that takes a hell of a lot Windex to get out. I didn't really have enough of it to get all the ink out and do all the carts. Do you...
From the start :D. Of course I have the clips on. Maybe that's the problem.
Edit: Yep keeping the clip on was causing the problem. Sometimes I'm not so bright. o_O
Hey Joe,
So I flushed 7 of the carts. I'm rather surprised how easily the Windex removed the ink from the sponge. Anyhow I couldn't get all the color out via the Windex flush. The color seems trapped in the maze and on the opposite side of the cart making a L shape of color ink. I ran 60ml of...
So I bought a set of 3 used pro-100 carts :D unfortunately they seemed to have been used quite a while ago ;( They have a layering on the sponge where the top 60% is lighter than the bottom 40%. The color is also not uniformed but dots of dark along with lighter color ink. Knowing that the...
I was pretty psyched about this too till I looked at the specs. I too also noticed the lack of distinct black dye. I thought maybe the big black reservoir is dye but it's still pigment. It also prints at half the dpi of my MG5320. A couple thousand fewer nozzles to for what that is worth and my...
A while back I found a Pixma MG5220 at a thrift store that a bought for a few bucks. I took out the cartridges and print head and just left it in my closet. I'm looking to clear out some space so I intend to ditch the 5220 but I wanted to know if there is anything else in it that might be usable...
Well I ordered the Verbatim AquaAce glossy printables and the end results were quite stellar. Much more impressive then the printing on must commercially pressed DVDs. Again, Thanks for the help :thumbsup
