Canon Pixma Pro-1 - Head Problem / Nozzle Check / Workaround

Afterall, there is no way to disable missing nozzle group from being used during printing. Everything depends on the given image that is being printed. I gave up and return the printer being faulty with nozzle groups missing in two colors. I would attempt to replace printing head if I get this...

Canon Pixma Pro-1 - Head Problem / Nozzle Check / Workaround

Surprisingly, this setting is not producing same result as output from Easy-PhotoPrint EX. The print output having stripes, so it seems problematic nozzles are counted in and obviously not firing. The option "Print with the best quality when you select [Quality Priority]" is not there.

Canon Pixma Pro-1 - Head Problem / Nozzle Check / Workaround

Is there a way to enforce this mode of operation when printing from Photoshop or other applications (other then Easy-PhotoPrint EX)?

Canon Pixma Pro-1 - Head Problem / Nozzle Check / Workaround

Below you can see Nozzle Check print from Canon Pixma Pro-1. The print head or printer circuit board is having electronic issue in DGY and GY channels. There is clearly visible tone difference between two parts (upper and lower) of a rectangle of a broken color channel. I am curious - what are...

How to remove PRO-1 printhead ?

I think most recent error is always stored in the position ER0, and the rest of errors are shifted down the line ER0 -> ER1, ER1 -> ER2, ER2 -> ER3, etc. To test, make a printout, then generate minor error (by printing with closed door, for example), make another printout and you will see...

How to remove PRO-1 printhead ?

There must have been B200 in the past, relatively recently. The error is stored in EEPROM memory, but it is not an active error right now.

How to remove PRO-1 printhead ?

Not sure about Magenta in CO. It seems this happens after cleaning, maybe this is coming from old paint stocked around print nozzles. Used clean and clear sheet of plain paper. Thank you for the information. It seems I have to return printer. Do not believe seller will be keen to provide new head.

How to remove PRO-1 printhead ?

I wonder if previous owner of the printer knew about issues. I can see from EEPROM there were serious errors in the past. B200 1361 ink remaining level not enough to perform cleaning 1752 ink has runout

How to remove PRO-1 printhead ?

Thank you for a blazing fast answer. I studied what Canon pigment photo printers are and how to use them properly. I'm afraid previous owner didn't use printer for the last couple of months, maybe longer. When he was selling it, the printer was advertised as reliable and in perfect working...
