Has anyone had any experience with this type of inkjet printer? They have tanks (looks like 70 ml each), instead of cartridges, which should make refills rather simple, and ink cost lower. Looks like it is the Lxxx series. They seem to have been around since 2010...

Because it saves money, of course, or rather because it helps me avoid buying a cartridge at a price several times what I deem it's worth. And, also, because of the great help I have gotten at this site to do it, of course - thanks guys. Shouldn't leave out the satisfaction felt when refills...

I have been using the German Method on BCI-3e, and BCI-6, of Canon i560. Using syringes as filling device. It works fine for the BCI-3e; but for the BCI-6s it looks like the air that is being displaced from the ink reservoir as new ink goes in cannot find a way out, and hence pushes on the ink...

To close this topic, I would like to add that the printhead came out to be at fault. Someone was kind enough to furnish me a spare printhead. The missing Pigment Black array in the nozzle test came back again, as soon as I installed it. The printer has kept working well. Many thanks to all...

Hi again Stratman, good news: 1) Tried again to print de EEPROM information using "Ink Jet Hagaki" as Media Type, just to see what happened, here it is (the bottom half of the page does not show any blank lines). 2) Tried again for a second time, and the page came out with no blank lines...

Additional information I should have posted: - Repeated "Cleaning" and "Deep Cleaning" cycles, using the printer maintenance software, did not have any effect on the missing upper half of the PGBK pattern in the nozzle check. - The purge system seems to be working well - there is no ink...

Hi The Hat, Errata in my post that included the nozzle check images, when I wrote "Before cleaning", "After cleaning", I meant before and after soaking the print head. No the cleaning process performed by the printer. Sorry about this.
