I have one cli-8bk cartridge that doesn't seem to be working. I get a message from the printer to check for the cartridge w/o a light - it has a problem. The only option is to cancel printing. I've used a resetter on it and it lights up on reinstall but I can't print w/o getting the error...

I have seen this happen on occasion, but this is a case of it staying checked and not working.

Thanks, now I get the picture better. In bending the tab down to gain access, it would appear that it would be easy to break the tab off. Has this been a problem?

If one cuts the tab off for viewing doesn't one lose the seating 'lock' that is on the tab? Does this not cause a problem, e.g. the cartridge unseating from the head? Thanks.
