Problem With My Canon PRO-1 Wasting Ink

Hello, I bought a used Pro-1 and bought all new ink cartridges. After installing them, the printer has gone through two whole cartridges of CO and a whole cartridge of dark grey before I even had the chance to test print anything. Is that something I should expect or is there some problem with it? After installing the cartridges I can hear the ink pumping for what seems to be a very long time. Any help diagnosing the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Without knowing how many times LED lights are flashing we got no chance of helping, my advice… Quite while your ahead..

The only error it gives me is the 16 blinks for empty ink cartridge.
