PART IDENTIFICATION AND LOCATION on MX882

This part just fell out of my printer when I was just starting to work on the purge and cleaning system. Can anyone identify it and suggest where it needs to be re-inserted. i am afraid the printer won't operate without it. Also, it might have broken off of some mechanism. I don't have a parts breakdown that shows this anywhere. Also, does anyone know where I can find an illustrated parts manual with part numbers?

I searched for a parts catalog for the MX882 but found none. Instead I found a service manual here. It has got many disassembly and repair photos. Maybe you will be lucky and identify the part?

Thank you. I have looked at the service manual. No luck. I'm still scouring around the printer. Maybe, I'll get lucky/ The printer is too valuable to just toss it. I can't afford a new one, right now.
