I read all your posts. I already know you said Photo Black. I was asking you what specifically is wrong with your ink according to mikling.

This is the kind of info that could be helpful to the forum and any future members with a similar problem.

What is the specific issue(s) with the Photo Black that caused your problem?

OK. Thanks for the reply.

Please report back if the ink that Precision Colors sends you resolves your issue. Hope so. :fl

As acknowledged by the supplier of the ink I use in my Pro10 (not Precision Colors), many third party photo-black inks have this problem with glossy media as Canon Platinum. It shouldn’t be an issue with satin or luster papers, but I experienced it too, although to a lesser extent, with Ilford Smooth Pearl.

Just for the record, in my case rubbing the soft part of the finger on the surface didn’t remove any ink, but using the fingernail, albeit slightly, did it. Instead with Canon OEM photo black, no problem at all.
I have both inks mentioned, and also the Precision Colors SE PBK. IMO this one is second best, I didn't observe adherence problems on the glossy papers I use (Aldi and Sihl, Platinum is too expensive and not much better) or on Ilford Smooth Pearl.
The discussed 3th party inks cost 20% of OEM, you can't expect they are as good in all aspects.
Canon OEM sticks as 2 component car paint.
