Hey guys,
I have an ix6520 that was working fine, then sudden print head death. I noticed that some of the MG-series of printers have a compatible head, so I bought one.
I tested the A4 printer, the printhead worked fine. Put it in the ix6520, it recognized the printhead (solid blue light).
Next, I try to print on the ix6520 with the replaced head, it goes thru the motions, makes as if it's printing, one line at a time, but the page comes out blank! I tried a number of nozzle checks, cleaned out the head with cleaner, replaced the cartridges but it is still "printing" just white pages, not even a streak!
This is pretty strange and I'm wondering if maybe there is a software lock preventing printheads from (cheaper, smaller) MG-printers to work on the more expensive ix-series?
Or what do you guys think?
